Morning at Wyresdale Park
I have known Nathan and Charlotte for many years, so being asked to photograph their Wyresdale Park summer wedding was an honour. The day began with clear skies, the perfect start to any wedding. I arrived at Wyresdale Park around 8 am, earlier than usual, as the groomsmen had planned a dip in the lake on the grounds.
I have wanted this photograph for a long time, and Wyresdale Park’s lake makes the perfect backdrop for groom prep. If you are planning your wedding here, I recommend a swim in the morning, rain or shine. It is the best way to start the day.
Wedding Ceremony at Wyresdale Park
The ceremony began with Charlotte walking down the aisle to meet Nathan, who waited patiently. When he turned to see her in her wedding dress, it brought a tear to his eye. Soon after, they exchanged rings, said their vows, and signed the register.
After the ceremony, guests gathered outside for confetti and group portraits. I like to keep these photos short so the couple can enjoy more time with their guests.
Wedding Reception and Catering
The reception was catered by Striped Pig, a regular at Wyresdale Park weddings. They served a delicious selection of meats and vegetables, followed by sticky toffee pudding. Speeches were heartfelt and entertaining, with the best men sharing stories about Nathan that had everyone laughing.
A Perfect Wyresdale Park Wedding
Nathan and Charlotte’s wedding was a perfect day from start to finish. It was another celebration at Wyresdale Park that I will not forget.
