Browsholme Hall Wedding Photography in the Ribble Valley
This one at Browsholme Hall had all of it, and I loved every minute. The groomsmen wore black suits, which looked sharp against the old stone of the manor house. The bridesmaids wore deep green dresses that suited the setting beautifully, and the bride wore a classic white wedding dress that fitted the venue perfectly. Green against stone and parkland always photographs well, and these colours worked brilliantly together.
Portraits at the hall and down by the lake
We did the portraits out front first, right in front of the manor house. The building does a lot of the work for you, to be fair. Then we wandered down to the lake, and I got my drone up so I could capture the two of them from above with the water and the grounds all around. Drone shots at a Ribble Valley wedding venue like this give you a view you just can’t get from the ground, and a few of these are among my favourites from the whole day.
The bridesmaids got a ride around the grounds on a golf buggy, and the laughing coming from that thing was brilliant. Later on, the groom’s mates grabbed him and threw him up in the air. You can’t plan a shot like that. You just have to be standing in the right spot with the camera ready, and luckily I was.
Wedding Food By Twelves
Twelves Catering did the catering and the chicken dinner was delicious. I’m not just saying that either. When the food’s good, everyone’s in a better mood, and it showed.
Cake cutting and a first dance with a twist
After the meal came the cake cutting, followed by the first dance. Then the bride decided she wanted a go at DJing, and she stepped up to the decks while the guests cheered her on.
