Wyresdale Park was built in 1856 and has since been renovated into a popular wedding venue with beautiful grounds and a lake. Shepherd Whewell purchased Nicky Nook Fell, Grizedale Valley, and Holme Wood. In 1967 James Whewell purchased Wyresdale Park Hall and Sandsbottom Farm, preserving the historic core of Wyresdale Park.
Sally and Andrew’s Wyresdale Park Wedding
Sally and Andrew celebrated their wedding at Wyresdale Park, one of the most sought-after Lancashire wedding venues. With rustic barns, landscaped grounds, and endless photo opportunities, it creates the perfect backdrop for a wedding day. Guests enjoyed the on-site luxury bell tents and the main house for bridal preparations.
Bridal Prep at Wyresdale Park
The bridal prep started at 9 am in the main house. Sally and her bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done in spacious rooms filled with natural light. This setting was ideal for wedding photography. Andrew and his groomsmen spent the morning in the luxury bell tents, getting ready and relaxing before the ceremony.
Wyresdale Park Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony was held in the barn at Wyresdale Park, decorated with pink and cream flowers by Bells & Daisies. Florist Gemma is based on-site, which makes planning easy for couples. After the ceremony, guests moved into the gardens at the back of Wyresdale Park. With the sun shining and drinks flowing, confetti and group photos followed.
Outdoor Wedding Fun with Garden Games
The weather was perfect for outdoor celebrations. Guests enjoyed classic lawn games, keeping both children and adults entertained.
Funny and Emotional Wedding Speeches
During the speeches, Andrew’s brother, who was also the best man, shared stories that had everyone laughing. The atmosphere was full of joy and emotion.
Evening Reception at Wyresdale Park
After the cake cutting, Sally and Andrew shared their first dance on the barn’s dance floor. The summer wedding ended with laughter, dancing, and celebration.
