Aikwood Tower Summer Wedding

Where do I start with this wedding, I have wanted to work at this venue for a long time so when I got the booking to work at Aikwood Tower I could not wait! Located on the border of Scotland in a rural location with stunning views and woodland trails this Venue is truly stunning and perfect for a small intimate Wedding with the Venue only holding 25-50 guests. Aikwood Tower has over 500 years of history with a medieval castle charm it has been restored to a luxury standard with 5 luxury bedrooms perfect for your family & friends.

Small & Intimate Ceremony

The couple invited 25 guests including their daughters and Bridesmaids, the Ceremony room was dressed with various shades of pink and red flowers which brought a burst of colour to the Venue. I do love weddings like this, intimate and relaxed the ceremony was roughly 20 minutes long once they had exchanged their vows all the guests made their way out into the garden to have canapes and champagne. The weather was perfect too with the sun shining!

Wedding Breakfast & Speeches 

The group shots and portraits were taken in the grounds, and then all the guests made their way into the barn, a cute rustic room decorated with colourful flowers a nice personal touch from Samantha for the Wedding Breakfast. The Father of the Bride started the speeches by telling some funny stories about the Bride and Groom and how they first met ending with the Best Man Luke’s brother who told a few more funny stories ending the speeches with everyone up on their feet cheering!

I ended the evening with some final portraits of Samantha & Luke, there are so many secret locations around Aikwood Tower to get creative natural photos which is a photographer’s dream!
