The Bridal Prep at Bartle Hall

When you imagine your wedding day, you might picture blue skies and golden light. Sometimes the weather has other ideas. At Sam and Amy’s Bartle Hall wedding, rain played a big part in the day, and it turned out to be magical.

Bartle Hall is one of Lancashire’s most popular wedding venues. With its grand manor house, landscaped gardens, and cosy indoor rooms, it offers countless opportunities for timeless wedding photography. Whether you are planning summer celebrations or a winter wedding, Bartle Hall works beautifully in all seasons.

Bartle Hall Wedding Photography: Groom Prep

The groom arrived around an hour and a half before the ceremony. He got ready in one of Bartle Hall’s elegant rooms, wearing a light grey and green tweed suit. The details of his look complemented the style of the wedding perfectly.

Rainy Wedding Day Portraits at Bartle Hall, Preston

Rain adds a unique softness to wedding photography. The light becomes beautifully diffused, colours appear richer, and couples who embrace the weather often end up with some of the most natural and heartfelt portraits. Sam and Amy did exactly that. Armed with a simple umbrella, they walked the grounds together, creating space for me to capture authentic and romantic wedding portraits at Bartle Hall.
